G'day Folks,
It is time for this years Christmas Party / AGM. This year we will go to Gordon Country for the weekend November 27th & 28th. It's a nice spot to camp and they have some good 4WD tracks.
They have lots of camping areas but I've decided to give the Retreat Camping a go. The Retreat campgrounds are a gated area right on the cusp of the Main Range National Park and also have access to a communal camp kitchen and exclusive facilities with disabled access. Perfectly located to access the rainforest and lookouts of the Main Range National Park, these are highly sought after sites and bookings are essential.
Camp fees include unlimited access to toilet/shower facilities. The sites are formed around a lower and upper part, with the lower sites being located around the Dalrymple Creek. They are all unpowered.
Where: Gordon Country Camp Grounds (http://www.gordoncountry.com.au) Ph - (07) 4666 6179. When booking online book The Retreat Camping Site.
Cost: $17 per adult per night and $10 per child per night. Children up to 4 years are FREE. There is also a $10 mandatory vehicle fee, plus a $20 4WD fee under optional extras.
When: Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th November
Meeting Place: Aratula Shell at 9:00am
UHF: Channel 13
Trip Leader: Cos
Gordan Country is about 70 minutes drive from Aratula.
Bookings must be paid in full Online using their Online Reservation system and secure Payment Gateway. Guests will be automatically emailed a reservation and payment receipt. Bring that along on the Saturday.
Firewood can be collected on the property.
Please let us know if you wish to come along. It should be a great camping weekend with a good sized fire, and some nice country side. Have a look at the website for photos of the campground.
I figure we can set up camp when we arrive and maybe have an early lunch then try out some of the tracks in the afternoon. We can have a quick AGM relaxing around the fire once everyone has had their dinner. Sunday morning we will have time to try out any tracks we didn't get to on Saturday if people are so inclined.
Hope to see you all there.

Hi all,
Sadly with all the rain and yet more to come we thought it prudent to postpone the Gordon Country trip. It has been a while since we all caught up so Don has booked lunch at the Royal Hotel at Harrisville at midday on Saturday. Don needs to give the hotel final numbers on Friday so can you please let him know if you can make it or not by then.
Hope to see you all on Saturday.
Cheers,
Cos.

How was your vacation? My wife and I are looking for something similar for next year, and it would be great to hear feedback. ThanksCBM_64 wrote:G'day Folks,
