Dave,
Its Debbie here,

We need to firm the dates, Are we sticking to the 3rd April, remembering fuel stops will probably be closed during Easter, its the outback, lots of stops are normally closed on a normal w/e, we will all need topping up before the desert leg for sure,

I would like to say the journey is also important, I would like to think if we saw something or found somewhere that we wanted to stay another night or had to, that we could, so flexibility on accommodation will be important. Don't want it a time trial journey.

Yes we will both be there, I wouldn't miss it, barring flood, fire, or some other disaster, lol

This w/e would be a good time to do some pre chats somewhere, where is every one situated, we at at Ipswich, tim is towoomba. Dave your closer to Brissy I think. maybe a luncheon somewhere, alternately I could do a sausage sizzle here, rather David is the barbecue attendant.
Whats your thoughts.
Cheers Debbie

G'day Dave

I have checked with work and It is possible for me to move my holidays to the 19th if preferred. I have not as yet moved them but no problem if I need to. So basically for me the 3rd or the 19th are both good for me.

Just remember the itinerary I created is just a very flexible guide based on some of the things I am thinking. It is totally open to input, suggestions, modifications, in fact I am hoping for ideas etc.

Debbie, I agree its the whole journey not just the crossing and flexibility is a key. I don't want a time trial either.

Hi All,

Dave/Debbie and Tim - did you still have a preference to start on the 3rd of April? Looks like Gary and Don can make either date, and I will go with general vote. So if two people have a preference for the 3rd, we can aim for that date. We get 2 public holidays as well with the 3rd of April start. :)

Shall we aim to meet up at some stage? We have locations of "just south of the Qld border", Toowoomba, Ipswich and 2 x around Brisbane. Is the Condamne River track a central point to meet? (well, and excuse for a 4x4 trip too).

Condamine sounds good for Sunday as long as I can get out of my street that morning - end of the year street party on Saturday night. Good excuse not to drink too much.

Well based on the weather report I may need to extent my snorkel by a metre or two for Condamine on Sunday. Worst comes to worst we could just have a meeting at the Beaudesert pub, Macas or something similar.

Folks,

I’ve had a couple of requests to postpone tomorrow’s (today’s) meeting until after Christmas. And I’d need a bit more time to do more research on tracks and options. So it would be good if we could delay the meeting until somewhere around new year.

Thanks
Dave.
