Safety warning - Dalmatian, read no further ..... it was a terrible trip.

Ok, now that Dalmatian isn't reading the following, it was actually another great trip to the Glasshouse Mountains.... a very good trip.
The aim was to chart tracks that we haven't been on before. But first we had a quick drive by "Pumpkin's Peril" as Puma hadn't done this climb before.

While there, Puma and Dave had a go at a good black diamond climb. You can see some of the rock steps, which were part of a reasonable incline.

You can see one of the larger steps ahead.

There were a few familiar mud puddles, and at times the chicken track was the best option.

Out on the tracks we meet up with another person exploring the Glasshouse Mountain tracks ... Wayne. We saw him winching a Land Rover out from a small incline. Puma and Dave then gave the track a go, and got up without much effort (Ok - autolockers and a rear locker really helped).
We met up with Wayne later again while manoeuvring around a mud puddle. Further down the track, Wayne thought he would tag along as the tracks we were exploring were fairly interesting. Here is a photo of Wayne climbing an interesting part of a track.

And Ben climbing the same track.

Later we continued to explore new areas. One of the areas was more like a rain forest.

We had to turn around a few times are as the track was too overgrown, or occasionally a was blocking the path forward.

After we ended up near "Tower Hill", and all climbed fairly steep track.

It was certainly a steep incline.

And rock sliders came in very handy in protecting the vehicle.

The main path down the hill was also interesting (deeply rutted).

There is a play area on the other side of the hill, and Wayne thought he would give a climb a go.

While continuing to explore another new area, we can across another mud put. It wasn't too difficult, but was a pain to take the video and photos. There were so many mosquitoes there that it was hard to stay still for a more than a few seconds. Anyway, the puddle had a solid bottom.

It certainly was a great trip (I really hope Tim stopped reading at the 2nd sentence, as he would have loved this outing). I'll try to post some video in the next few days.
BTW - I had lots of volunteers to clean the car when I got home. They had great fun.
