Trip Calendar for 2015

Hi All,
Below are some suggestions for trips during 2015. But your input and contribution is welcomed. Would you like to volunteer to lead a trip?

Please let me know if you have other preferred dates, ideas for other destinations, or any other suggestions.


January
10th: Toowoomba Day trip
24-26th: Fraser Island 24, 25, & 26 Jan. Dave is the trip leader.

February
14-15th: Teewah Beach (Updated) Looking for a trip leader
21th: Imbil State Forest (Postponed due to bad weather)

March
7-8th: The Springs 4x4 Park
21st: Glasshouse Mountains

April
3-17th: Simpson Desert crossing and Ayres Rock trip. (start of school holidays and Easter)

May
2nd: Toowoomba Day trip (Postponed due to bad weather)
15-17th: Manar Park 4x4 Park
30: ??

June
6-8th: Janowen Hills 4x4 Park (queens b'day)
14th: Tweed Valley and The Channon Markets - Sunday 14th June 2015
20-21st: Murphy's Creek Escape

July
11th: Glasshouse Mountains
25-26th: Landcruiser Park (Postponed)

August
15-16th:Cocktails at Janoween: 15-16 August

September
5th: Glasshouse Mountains (Dave should be available, and can lead this trip)

October
3-5th : Toonumbar, Nymboida, Dorrigo - October Long Weekend
24-25th : Teewah/Rainbow Beach Day trip and possibly overnight camp.

November
15th - Christmas Party on Bribie Island


December
12th - Duck Creek Rd to O'Reileys -- Trip Leader: Ben
27-30th : Northern Rivers Riverside Camping - Trip Leader: RegRocky

Hi Tim,

Thanks for putting up the proposal. Would you also like to consider the following :

Fraser Island
Levuka
Moreton Island
Stradie Day trip or overnight camp.
Gympie Hinterlands (many tracks according to Scooter)
Bunya Mountains National Park.
Hervey Bay hinterlands.
A National Park just over the NSW boarder.

This looks like a good idea, have you been before and planning to go this year, We are interested will be looking into our rosters to see if available, debs is ok, just have to check my on call. If you are going what day will you get there.

Hi Dave yes we are planning to go and have been before.At this stage we would probably drive out Friday 31st July and back Sunday 2nd August.Will put an itinerary together as it gets closer. Krn

Hi Tim, The calendar looks pretty good although it would be good to take advantage of the extra days for the long weekends to visit places like straddie, moreton and the likes. it can be expensive just for the weekend but the extra day can make the cost more worthwhile. maybe a few more overnighters closer to home might appeal to some others????????

The Tara camel races look like a scream!!! Have just looked it up, and we are very interested in going as well. Something we haven't done before, so look forward to it.....

What happened to the Teewah beach trip? Is there anything on this weekend?

Hi Ben, The last i heard there was going to be a change from the 7th/8th to the following weekend14th/15th for Teewah Beach.The reason being the tides i believe. While i am corresponding to you at present can you tell us why we cannot open a forum for members only (simpson trip) ???? We are now able to post things on here and are automatically logged into the breakaway site, yet we are STILL unable to open the attachment. It tells us we are not authorised to use it !!!!!! Don't have any idea why, so maybe you can help please.It is the one dave put on there for the people going on the trip.

Just wondering about the Toowomba Day trip this weekend. is it still on? - if so who is leading it or what are the details as i will need to be ready by Thursday night.
