Tbar with a Landy

Post by Bre770 »

G'day Guys

My names Brett and i'm from Toowoomba. Our current vehicle is a 2013 Defender 110 that we bought new at the end of last year. It has a bit of cool stuff, mainly set up for touring, but seems to be pretty capable in the sticks.

The wife and i try and get out camping and fishing whenever we get a chance, with our last trip being a couple of days down at Sundown National Park - our first time there. Man what a place, it seems to have it all, we had a great time with this being the first time we have had the new unit offroad doing anything half decent - apart from when i got it bogged in Coolamunda dam - but that another story for another time :shifty:

Main reason i signed up to the forum is to meet like minded people and join a club to get out on a few fun, technical, non-vehicle-destroying tracks, as very few of my mates are into fourby's and lets face it, its fun on your own but way more fun with other people.

Anyway thats us. Hope to possibly meet up with a few locals and hopefully get out and hit a few local tracks.

Heres a couple of pics of our rig at Sundown a couple of weeks ago

Hi Brett and welcome.

The defenders are pretty good out of the box! Sundown is one of my favourite places to go camping. We even know one or two secret tracks around there!

Keep an eye on the trip calendar forum for what's coming up. If you want to come on a trip please post on that topic on the forum so we know you are coming.

Look forward to meeting you soon.

cheers mate.

Would be good to catch up for a day or 2 down there. get shown a few tracks around the place. all we did when we were down there was Rats Castle, some random track from Burrows over to Red Rock Gorge, the un-maintained track from Red Rock to the front gate and a heap of side tracks. Was great.

Surprised me the places we went with an essentially stock vehicle, just swaybars out and aired down and we never got stuck, which was kind of disappointing as i was pretty keen to try out the new winch.
