On 10th-11th of December this year we have a beach/camping trip to Noosa North Shore.
Some may wish to be adventurous and drive the beach to Double Island Point and then up the Leisha track to wind up at Rainbow Beach and others may wish to just chill out and do some fishing on the beach in front of the camp site.
We will be camping at "Noosa Noth Shore Beach Campground" http://www.sunshinecoastholidayparks.co ... ampground/
Fees are $22 per night for two adults
The campground still has unpowered sites available. The powered sites are fully booked. I have spoken to the caretaker who said we can access the campground from 11am. You can book online. Just mention in the comments section that you are part of the Breakaway 4x4 club group.
THIS IS A VERY POPULAR CAMPGROUND (BEING RIGHT ON THE BEACHFRONT) SO YOU WILL NEED TO BOOK ASAP SO YOU DON'T MISS OUT.
The car ferry across the Noosa River is $6.00 each way for vehicles / $12.00 each way for a vehicle and trailer.
The permit for those wishing to drive on drive Teewah Beach is $10.35 per day. This permit can be booked online.http://www.derm.qld.gov.au/parks_and_fo ... _fees.html then click on the Cooloola Recreation Area.
Kim and I are hoping to travel up on the Friday afternoon, but depending on numbers a convoy for the Saturday morning may be able to be organised.
Here are the tide times for the weekend.

We're thinking of a day trip up on the Saturday. Do you think it would be worthwhile Steve?
