Tweed Valley and The Channon Markets - Sunday 14th February 2016
Trip Leader: RegyRocky
Where: Tweed Valley and The Channon Markets
Costs: $2 for parking at the Channon Markets (bring gold coins) + $20pp approximately for Dinner + $? Lunch at the Market or BYO Lunch
Standard: Green Circle
Meeting location: Caltex Service Station (Cnr Tsipura Drive & Tallebudgera Creek Road) - Take the Tallebudgera Creek Road Exit 89 heading South on the M1
Meeting time: 7:45am for 8am Departure. (9am NSW Time)
UHF: Channel 13.
This day trip takes in a few of my favourite roads that I know in the Tweed Valley area. The trip will pass some beautiful mountain scenery, gorgeous rain forests using many of the back roads.
We are planning to stop for a short break at UKI, we will have a short stop in Nimbin and about an hour and a half at The Channon Markets for lunch, and finishing with dinner at the Tumbulgum Tavern.
Four Wheel Drive is not expected to be used and it will be about 40% dirt roads and 60% bitumen.
I am intending to be at the Tumbulgum Tavern before sunset to hopefully view the sunset over the river before finishing with dinner and a drink.
