Hi All,

Mark and I decided to make the most of the fabulous weather on Saturday and went for an explore of Imbil State forest. We basically followed one of the main roads and explored any side track that looked interesting. We found a couple of good ones. One that went down to an open area that was logged a few years ago, but gave great views. That one had it's own side track that ended quite abruptly! Another went up to the fire tower at Mt Borumba and it had it's own side track. 8-) That was a great track that had views of Lake Borumba but unfortunately was completely lost to Lantana. A great side track wound back down to the creek and followed it through some soft sand and crossings.

Near the end we found a few "short cuts". Well they look like short cuts on the GPS as they go straight over the hills instead of around them, but they were FUN. Especially Hero Hill.

The video shows it all...

It was a most excellent trip.

That's a really nice little video Ben.

I think the dash board mount helps to show up the steepness of some of the tracks too.

Great video Ben (and compliments to the other videographer too).
Mark, I really like you comments about the diff marks on the track. Don't know why Ben was so excited about travelling up such a gentle slope. :? Yes - you never really see the true angle of the track on video.

I still have a few weekends booked out, but should be available soon for a trip. Looks like you guys had a great day out.

Nice work with the video, especially liked the arty farty scenic stuff in the middle. I will be able to come on some trips soon too. The starter motor is not coming out without a fight. I had to grind off some rusted on muffler bolts but now I also need to remove the torsion bar to get to the muffler just to drop out the starter...grrrr
