Well as some of you may know, my baby in currently in for open heart surgery. It seems that a few components aren't working as originally specified...

Re: Capella_Ben's 80 [Recovered]
I was driving along and everything was running fine. I slowed down to go thorough a 60 zone and a loud knocking started. Initially it didn't seem to be engine related and I thought it was some loose cabling I installed the night before. It got more continuous and was eventually doing it in idle. So I parked it up and got it towed home. Luckily Mark was with me and helped to ferry Jane and some kids back while Hunter and I waited for the tow truck.
It's now in getting the engine reconditioned. Should get it back late next week.

Argh, that's a bummer, it always seemed like it was running well.
Oh well, hopefully it will have a new lease of life

Jane is looking forward to that

Twin turbos being installed? Maybe a gas booster system?
But on the serious side, I hope you will have more power and better fuel economy. But still, an expensive event to occur.

It's Back!
A dollar or two later and she's now sitting in the garage where it belongs. The engine looks nice and clean and painted. Everything seems to be where it is supposed to be.

Great to hear it's back. Hope it's running well. I'm sure it's keen to be let loose in the mountains.

Does that mean Jane's Focus has been relegated to the driveway again?
