They're talking about the possibility of snow as well which probably means the place will be jam packed with tourists. It seems like we will be quite a big group so it might be a good idea to book places for lunch and dinner, and maybe even for breakfast.

Yep winter woollies will be the go!
I was going to go through the full plan when we got to Harrisville. Here is plan A so far:
I've already made a booking for Saturday night Dinner for 11 as I figured that would be the most problematic if it was busy. I told them I'd confirm numbers on Saturday morning in case anyone wanted to try elsewhere. I looked at Kathy's suggestions and the restaurant we ate at last trip - and did some investigation on prices and reviews but opted for a place I have visited once before - Annas. It is definitely a foodie experience I can recommend. Cost is $38.90 per head though under 5's (I think Indie is under 5) is less than $7.
I hadn't arranged for anywhere lunch on Saturday and was thinking a pie or something light from the bakery or café in the main street at Stanthorpe or possibly Jamworks - still work in progress.
(Standing in the sun eating a hot pie in Stanthorpe on a cold day in the middle of winter … it will cleanse the palate for an afternoon of tastings. )
For brekie on Sunday morning I suggest the markets. Last time it was a bit slow but a pleasant experience.
Lunch Sunday for those of us heading home on the Sunday (provided we don't leave too late) a slight diversion off the track to Queen Mary Falls café may be the nicest option. We can feed the birds and maybe wander down to the waterfall if time permits.
Don't feel locked in - this is a low stress foodie trip and while I'll have a suggested itinerary, I'm quite happy for people to chase whatever culinary delights they fancy and catch up or leap ahead as we go. I'm quite happy to explore new places.
Also - bring cash for use at the markets. The stallholders may or may not have facility for cards.
