There is one more fee, which is the beach vehicle permit for Fraser. When booking the campsite, it should be possible to "Add" another item, i.e. a vehicle permit. It's around $41 for a month.
You should then be able to pay for the whole lot in one go. But you can do both separately if you wish.

Have $110 in cash handy, and you can give this to the guys on the ferry after boarding. I always wondered, if you refuse to pay, will they make you exit when they next land, i.e. Fraser Island. Or will they make you exit the ferry immediately, i.e. push the vehicle into the water. :lolno:
Good point. I forgot about the vehicle permit. I must do that as well.

Ok, so far we have :
. Dalmatian,
. Capella_Ben and tribe,
. Kazncarlos,
. Dave and tribe

I'm closely watching the weather forecast, and am hoping for more sunny weather over the long weekend. So for anyone interesting in coming along, keep an eye on the forum (and e-mail for those listed above) just in case we have to cancel the trip.

Sorry - due to the weather, we will postpone the Fraser Island trip. Hopefully we can find some time when it's sunny and still warm.

As a suggestion, we may aim for a Bribie Island midday to late afternoon trip. The details will be put on the forum's trip calendar shortly.

BTW - for people who booked the Fraser Island camping and beach permits, please jump back onto the National Parks site, and cancel your permits. You will get the credit back into your account which you can use for future trips.

Just another update on cancelling your permits. I logged onto the site, and possibly since we are so close to the planned travel, a refund was not automatically given. I had to go through the process of "applying for refund", and add a reason (trip cancelled due to bad weather).
A person will then need to manually review and apply the refund at some time in the future.

We really should not try to organise a trip on Australia day. Every year it rains and we have to cancel. :(

Best to enjoy Fraser in good weather.
