Hi All,
It is about time we visit Gordon Country.
A very nice spot with great camping and views just over the range from Cunninghams gap.
They close the tracks during wet weather so I'd leave the actual booking until the week before.
Where: Gordon Country Camp Grounds (http://www.gordoncountry.com.au) Ph - (07) 4666 6179
Cost: $30 4WD fee, plus $17 per adult per night and $10 per child per night. Children up to 4 years are FREE.
When: Saturday 23rd March and and Sunday 24th April
Meeting Place: Aratula Shell at 9:00am
UHF: Channel 13
Trip Leader: Don - 0407 030 693
Gordan Country is about 70 minutes drive from Aratula.
Bookings must be paid in full Online using their Online Reservation system and secure Payment Gateway. Guests will be automatically emailed a reservation and payment receipt. Bring that along on the Saturday.
There is a $30 Mandatory additional fee if you wish to do some 4WD trail driving.
Firewood can be collected on the property.
Please let us know if you wish to come along. It should be a great camping weekend with a good sized fire, and some nice country side. Have a look at the website for photos of the campground. A very nice place to camp - there are facilities but depending upon where we camp we may have to walk a bit to them.

I'm interested in that one Don, will let you know closer to the date.

Hi Don,
I need to log onto the forum more often. I only just saw this trip advertised.
I think we should be available too. Also need to confirm closer to the date.
Though I think it's cheap for my tribe to rent an apartment on the Gold Coast then paying for a camping spot at Gordon Country.
But the scenery is very nice there, and I remember my kids loved playing in the rocky creek.

Hi Don,
I'll be coming on this one too. I'll probably have a mate tagging along as a passenger too.
Cheers,
Cos.

Sounds like a good roll up.
The weather forecast for Warwick next weekend looks quite promising.
I'll check with Gordon Country on Tuesday to ensure the tracks are open - but I'd expect that they would be.
I'll post on Tuesday and we can then book in over the following few days.
Cheers,
Don

Re: Gordon Country 23rd and 24th March
I checked with Gordon Country today - tracks are all fine.
We can go ahead and individually book via their reservation site over the next few days.
Don't forget to bring along the confirmation.
Cheers,
Don

Re: Gordon Country 23rd and 24th March
Hi All
We have had a change of plans which means we won't be coming this weekend.
I was really looking forward to my first Gordon Country visit.
Guess it will have to wait til another time.
Please let me know if you need anything from me to make the planned club meeting official.
Thanks
Tim

No problem Tim.
Gordon Country is my favorite camping spot so I'll definitely be scheduling more trips up there.
Not sure yet about the meeting requirements.
Cheers,
Don
