Well where should i start,
Well I met Tim,paul and hannaka, david, les and christine at the mcdonalds at beaudesert this morning about 9:30 am and we departured about 9:50 and arrived at the park after my little detour about 10:15am. We then received a friendly welcome by the new owner Brendan, as he briefed us on the tracks we then decided to have a look at camp ground 1 then proceeded to the play area where i decided to drive the wombat holes which i found easy enough but then Tim follwed through and had to be recovered by a cruiser.
We ventured on to have a look around at some of the other relatively easy tracks and sorry guys but i honestly forgot the track names that we traversed. We proceeded back to camp ground 1 by the main gate for lunch and in the mean time we all tried to figure out what was wrong with davids vehicle, then we got swamped during the lunch break by some hill billys in toyotas (typical).
While everyone was eating i was soon talked into following the park owner and Les to go and have a look at the creek run which had some good angles on it but i pulled out and proceeded onto the next creek which i beleive tim did some panel damage.
Then as i arrived back with the rest of the crew david decided to leave while he could, we all proceeded onto the scenic drive around the park which showed us with some wonderful views out to stradbroke and even the city. As i was trip leader i wondered down a track which was nothing until i heard a loud hissing noise coming from the front tyre and realised i puntchured a tyre, after an hour or so fixing it we moved on to find ourselves on some more angles beside a tree which Les decided to take a different track while the rest of us ventured into the un known as this track wasnt marked on the map. The track we were on was Gonzo's hill and found a nice few step ups towards the end which some vehicles had drama. After this paul decided to get himself stuck in the mud and i beleive had to winch out. We follwed the park owner around for a while then decided to head out, and on the way home paul and hannaka, les and christine and myself decided to call into the veresdale pub for a meal and a few drinks but unfortunatly we had to book in for a counter lunch.
