Hi Folks,
I've decided to start upgrading my Navarra D22. I've booked in to Springers Solar to get an AGM deep cycle battery fitted with a DC-DC charger and some outlets in the back.
Next up I plan on getting a 2 inch lift. I've heard some good things about Carrolls Suspension Solutions in Wacol so I thought I'd go and talk to them. They use EFS suspension. Has anyone heard anything good or bad about Carrolls and/or EFS suspensions? I've read a few forums on the subject and it seems like everyone has a different opinion on the different suspensions and lift kits so its hard to know what to go with.
I haven't looked into what tyres to upgrade to yet, does anyone have any suggestions for a good brand?
I also want to get an Eaton Harrop E-Locker but I'm having trouble deciding whether to get it on the back or front. Nissan's are supposed to have good LSD's on the rear so people often put the locker on the front. I might hold off deciding until I've had a chance to practice Gary's method of engaging the LSD by accelerating and breaking at the same time. If I can get the hang of that then maybe I'll put the locker on the front.
I also plan on getting a snorkel fitted and maybe a bash plate underneath if it doesn't get in the way of the spare tyre that sits under the car. Oh, and maybe a winch eventually too. I expect that would be the last thing I'd do.
I know a lot of people do most of the work themselves but I haven't had much mechanical experience and wouldn't be confident in doing any of the work myself so I'll let the professionals do it and hopefully they all do a good job.
Any hints, tips or suggestions would be appreciated as you all have a lot more experience than me.
Cheers,
Cos.
