For Sale: Double Din Car Stereo +

Postby Capella_Ben » August 17th, 2014, 10:08 am

Hi All,

As I have upgraded the Stereo/GPS in the 80 I now have to do something with the old one. There is nothing wrong with it, it all forks fine.

Features:
* Plays MPS/WMA/ etc from SD card
* Plays DVD/CD's
* AM/FM radio
* On Road GPS with updated maps (maps are about 2 years old)
* Digital TV
* iPhone/iPod connector (old style) so you can play music
* Bluetooth phone connection

I can demo it if you like.

It was originally a $500 unit, but it's now worth only $75.

Let me know if you are interested, otherwise I'll put it on eBay.

Too late for me, already bought one.

I haven't fitted it yet though. Hijacking your thread, but any tips for install?

Yes. Buy a Toyota to ISO wiring harness. I got one from Supercheap. I think there may be more than one type of Toyota harness out there. There were a few other wires that were separate to the harness. Look at the Toyota electrical schematics as well as the pinouts for the stereo.

Once you have it wired up you may have issues getting it all to fit. I took out the glove box so that I could get my hand in behind and pull the cables through into a void further forward of the stereo.

Which one did you get?

Thanks.

I got a Kenwood one, but can't remember the exact model right now.
