108mm hole saw

108mm hole saw

Postby cuboid » June 26th, 2013, 5:50 pm

Hi all,

I am about to install my new snorkel and I need a 108mm (4 1/4 inch) hole saw. Before I go and shell out $50 for one, I was wondering if anyone would have that they might be willing to lend?

Thanks in advance

Mine is a bit too small. You can use a jigsaw. Some say they are better...

I have a good jigsaw, ..... and a sledge hammer, crowbar, and circular saw. ;)

BTW - check the template on the actual snorkel. I fitted the template, measured it 52 times, and drilled holes accurate to 0.5mm. And only then discovered the template was around 5 mm out from end to end.

Yell out if you would like people to help or just look over your shoulder. Several of the club members have installed their own snorkels. But it isn't too difficult. Just cutting that first hole takes a few hours.
