I am organising a weekend trip to The Springs 4x4 park in September. The park has a good camping area and a wide variety of tracks to choose from.

Where: - The Springs 4wd Park (South of Warwick)
When: 10 - 11 September
Meet: At BP Aratula (please note not the Shell, when I drove by early this month it had been closed and half the buildings have been demolished). There may be a few coming from Toowoomba and we can organise an alternate meeting point if required.
Time: 8:30
Cost: $65 for one nights camping and 2 days 4wding
Trip Leader - Mark

Check out their website http://www.thesprings4x4.com.au/ for further info. They also have their park map up now as a pdf, I would recommend printing one before heading off.

I just need to confirm some dates, but we should be able to come along. I'll bring firewood along to heat up the camp site ... and maybe the ones besides ours too. ;)

Unfortunately I have a birthday party to attend in Brisbane that Saturday night - but can be there for most of Saturday.
So looks like just a day trip for me.

Hi guys. Yes, I will be there (and hubby??) for the weekend. Hope to have extras from twba, so far no hear :?
Ben, if you want to come I'm sure we could come up with extra stuff that you need. Let me know if I can help out :)
Fire wood can certainly be found round the area, may just need chainsaw or someone with axe and plenty of puff

See you all soon

Kez :drive:

I'll bring the chainsaw. I now have a battery powered version, and it seems to work very well. Certainly enough power to cut up lots of firewood.

Hi Mark, do we need to pre-book for the camping or just pay when we arrive?

I just found it in the FAQs .... no need to book for a standard weekend. But it looks like you need to bring your own firewood, i.e. no collecting of firewood on site.

I also completed and then printed the indemnity form. That should save a couple of minutes when checking in.
