Moreton Island - May 2015

I have just booked us on the ferry as well for Saturday. We have never been to Moreton, looking forward to it.

What day are you booked to come back?? Troy and Toni have to come back Sunday, although Karen and Karlos, and we, won't be coming back till the monday!!

Hi All, Yes indeed only days now to go.
Grizzly now just back from Adelaide, and looking forward to our trip. Ben-Ewa all booked guys, so see you all Sat morning bright and early........ Rest up Friday night as we have 3 birthdays to celebrate... we have plenty of firewood packed too.....

Has anyone camped at Ben-ewa before - do you need sand pegs?

Hi Mark,

Never camped there, but have driven through the campground. Hmmmm ... 3rd largest sand island in the world.
That's a definite Yes. But .... the sand is packed, and the area is somewhat sheltered from the wind. So large steel pegs should be ok if you don't have sand pegs.

Made sure you have a camera handy for some sunset photos.
