Simpson Desert and Rock trip - April 2015

So have we made a definite leave date?

I think Gary, Don and Dave&Debbie can be flexible, with Tim having a strong preference for the 3rd, and Dave having a preference for the 19th.

So it appears the 3rd of April wins. Is this date suitable for everyone? Shall we aim for the 3rd of April for a 24 day trip?

We have booked 3-17 April off as per previous posts. we may be able to stretch it a day or so but that's it. Not to the 26-27th.

Im the same with dave and debbie. I would like to go for longer but with two weeks im already going in the red. But it would be nice if we all stay together as a group, but by the 15th (wherever we are), i will need to go home.
I still cant justify 4 days to birdsville.

Sounds like we could plan for a 3 week trip, with a option for at least 2 groups to head back a week early.

Are people generally available some time between Boxing day and New Years day for a catch up in person?

I should be ok between Christmas and New Year but may need a bit of notice in the unlikely event I have a shift on that day.

G'day Dave

I am available between Christmas and the New Year to meet up. How about a meeting near the Glasshouse Mountains, or Bueadesert on Monday the 29th Dec? any other suggested days? we could have a meeting then hit some trails (Glass house or Duck creek road to 0'rielys or Condamine).

I am good for up to 4 weeks max traveling, but I think 21-24 days should be ample.

I also have no problem to travel from UKI to Birdsville (by myself if required) starting on the 31st March 2015 thus meeting up with Tim and any others wanting a fast 2 day trip on the night of the 4th, ready to start a Simpson Desert Crossing on the 5th.

I would probably be available on the 29th. Glasshouse trip would sounds really good, and could take people on appropriate tracks, ie to the level people feel comfortable.

Tim, were you still looking to do a Coffs trip during that period?

no body show any interest to go on a 4wd new years trip.... quite strange if you ask me!

I will try and keep 29th Dec free.

We have tentatively been able to extend our time for the Simpson, currently looking at being back home by the 27th April, still waiting for my work to approve it though.
