Christmas Party - 8th and 9th of Nov 2014

Hi All,

Votes on locations and dates have been tallied, and winner is :
Sandy Creek Camping Ground on the 8th and 9th of November.

Creek Camping ground is just over 1 hour's drive from Brisbane CDB. We have booked out a private area just for our group.
. - As well as the usual Christmas activities, this year will seek to have dinner at a venue somewhere in Kilcoy. Venue TBC.
. - And I'm still happy to organise an "Interactive 4x4 challenge course". (We have the ok from the park owners now).

Cost: TBC*- but will cover camping and 4x4ing for up to 2 nights, i.e. 7th and/or 8th of Nov.
When: 8th and 9th of Nov (I am going to try to head up Friday 7th, as it's included in the price)
Meeting Place: BP Service Centre Morayfield (Nth Bound)
Firewood: We can take our own wood or purchase from them, no collection allowed from the property

Would you please indicate your attendance as soon as possible.
* The club will make the payment to the camping ground. But don't make your payment to the club yet, as a subsidy will be confirmed shortly.

Quick question, is the private camp ground accessible by 2wd vehicle? Might have some friends/family that may be interested.

Yes - The private campground is accessible by 2WD. There is just a small section of dirt track, which should still be fairly smooth.

Hi All,

With the Christmas function fast approaching, please post a message or send me an e-mail directly if you are intending to come alone to the Christmas party/function. Please let me know if you are planning to attend only on the Saturday, or if you are intending to camp for two nights, i.e. arriving on the Friday. Two nights camping is included in the price at this private camping ground.

We will have the usual (and very popular) Thieving Secret Santa event, and a fun "Interactive 4x4 challenge course". Dinner Saturday night will be at the Exchange Hotel Kilcoy, and on the Sunday morning, we may even be able to do some real 4x4 driving in the camping grounds. All levels of difficulty are available in the camping grounds.

How to pay.
Please pay me directly (cash) on the day, or make a direct deposit into the clubs bank account. The club is subsidising the camping fees by making a $30 donation per membership. So costs are $35 per family group, or $20 per Single parent and kids under 16.

Thieving Secret Santa : If you wish to participate, please purchase a gift up to $15 (per participant), wrap it up in Christmas paper. All presents will be placed under the tree. Each person can then select a present from under the tree, or "steal" a present from someone else. If your present has been stolen, then you can select or "steal" another present. We will again have a "3 thiefs maximum" rule for each present.
